Welcome!

Hello! I’m Jess, Founder of On Cloud Wine School & an avowed cork dork! I began my wine studies in 2017, but my love for wine started much earlier. After completing my WSET Levels 2 and 3 exams, I decided to specialise in Spanish wines. Having spent time living in Spain as part of my Bachelor’s degree in Italian and Spanish, I wanted to marry my passion for language and culture to my passion for wine. This led me to complete my Spanish Wine Scholar exam, followed by the Rioja Wine Diploma – Tourism Specialist.

Whilst I love studying and learning about vinification, viticulture and grape varieties, what I love most is sharing knowledge and experiences with fellow wine-lovers. This is the aim of all the events, courses and resources at On Cloud Wine school, where wine novices and wine nerds alike can enjoy, learn and discover new styles and pairing ideas together in an interactive and friendly environment.

My personal favourite wines include Extra Brut Cava and Primitivo di Manduria, but I’m always on the hunt for a new favourite. Whilst there are many factors that contribute to a great wine, I believe that the most important factor isn’t the vintage, the ageing process or the origin; it’s whether or not you like it! Everyone’s tastes are unique, and I look forward to meeting you and discovering new favourites together!
